Hey guys I have a quick question. Does enabling guest Wi-Fi split the bandwidth of the household? Say I'm paying for 10 Mbps. When I enable the guest does it then allocate 5 Mbps to the guest and the remaining 5 to the primary network?

Guest normally just isolates your main network from others. The bandwidth available should be the same unless otherwise configured (some routers offer this). You can also set priority thresholds so that your main network always gets priority as well.

Just think of a guest network as a way to keep your main wifi network and password safe. It allows you to offer wifi to friends without giving them the ability to see or access anything of yours.
