Modem or router

So I have just gotten a new ISP and they have wired up a router but I cannot find a modem anywhere. 

The io on the router:

Wan, 3, 2, 1, PWR

Modem/router combo unit? Those are common now.

It's probably a router+modem combo. what's the router connected to on the wall? just an Ethernet port, or something more interesting like a COAX port.

It has an ethernet port labeled wan

There’s a modem somewhere else. Was there another room that the ISP technician worked in?

Follow the cables. There is a huge chance that it is a modem/router combo, havent seen a modem and router setup by isp in 13 years, where they were separate.

Who is your ISP? That should give us a clue into what kind of internet you have and what equipment you should have.

all fiber ont I have seen have a Ethernet jack that then feeds a router.

Well without knowing what kind of Internet you have, we cant help you determine where or if you have a traditional modem. Because not all Internet connections use the same modem.
