Ridiculous benchmarks on 850 Evo

Recently decided to bench my ssd and it came back with some strange results (at least to my eyes). The drive is rated for around 520mb/s read/write but is hitting nearly 6 times that on the sequential read and write. Is this a glitch? or am I just not understanding how to read the test...

did you install samsung magician software?

caches it into RAM during benchmarks...

Samsung 850 EVO 240 GB 

138 is a good number.

That’s Samsung’s RAPID mode. That uses RAM caching. It doesn’t do anything for real world performance.

Ah good ol RAPID. Quite possibly the most pointless feature. :P

Id turn it off. It can lead to data loss as sync writes aren't sync any more. Also windows has built in caching, that will do basically the same thing, its just that crystal disk mark disable windows caching.

Unlikely, as it's a single 240GB drive. It's just caching the data into RAM, which is significantly faster than the flash storage
