Probably better to just buy a 780 and oc it like 10%, about the same performance I'd imagine, plus it saves you 200$. Although you can OC a 780 TI aswell, but money is money, if it needs to be saved then you gotta do what you gotta do :P

I´ve got a GTX780 Ti in my gaming rig and it´s definetly the fastest single GPU at the moment.

I´ve owned 2 GTX 780´s this year and have in my second rig a R9 290X from Asus at the moment. The OC potential of the 780Ti (EVGA SC) is incredible! My card is WC and it´s just brutal!

Sometimes I wonder how many people out there give advice of hardware even though they have never tested it them selves... the card is highend and yes it comes with a high price tag, but you won´t see an enthusiast cry about it.

10% difference is a lot performance in the highend segment. If you want to achieve the power of a stock GTX780 Ti (876mHz) you need to overclock a GTX780 to almost 1150 mHz.

That´s in my opinion a huge difference since I run my GTX780 Ti with 1300mHz core clock and 1900mHz RAM clock. Oh yeah and for those who think: "Meh watercooled sure...", I managed to rock this card with the reference cooler up to 1135 mHz stable (core clock not boost). And by the end of the day this is more than just a slight difference here.

So if you are just looking for decent FPS and high to very high details a GTX780 is a serious option (a R9 290 when the board partners have released their custom design as well). But the Ti is made for those who want all of it.

If you can find one, get the Asus Mars which is two 760s strapped together.  It outperforms the 780 and competes with the 780 ti very well.  A cheaper alternative would be buying two 760s and running SLI and still be better and cheaper than the 780.  Just make sure your games have SLI support and your PSU is up to the task as well as space between the two GPUs.

For the Best builds and Price lists here is a world where many points of the price have been predefined already for your convenience!

The Xeon E3 1231 V3 IS BETTER Than the Core i5 4690K and a Significantly better value for the non-overclockers or value shoppers.

The OS is like a kind food, Try it before saying if you like it or don't.

This is by far the worst advice... sorry dude but a MARS... really?

And it is close to a Titan in Benchmarks but not to the Ti. And why would you want to go with an double GPU? The GTX 780 Ti is faster, cooler and has the better chip.

I would never recommend this card under normal circumstances... for me personally it´s an abomination that suffers from more heat and micro stuttering.

For a GTX 780 Ti a 600Watts PSU is just good enough and if it comes down to choose and not running a multiple monitor setup or crazy high resolution with very high details (and btw a MARS is for that the very wrong card, cause you wanna CF then 2 R9 290(X) or SLI 2 GTX780 (Ti)), I´d go all the time with 1 highend single GPU rather than a cheap SLI/CF.

If you are a bencher looking for the best possible FPS then there is no substitute for the 780Ti and a fully unlocked GK110.  If you are just a gamer though then the regular 780 is absolutely adequate for that (or even the 290 to be honest).

I was in a very similar position when I decided to get my 780 ti,

the way I looked at it, if your going to be dropping that much anyways

might as well spend the extra 100 bucks and get what's the best right now.

I especially didn't want to be in the position where I got a 780, and in the back

of my mind question if I should have got then 780 ti instead, which I find a lot of

new 780 owners tend to do.
