Posted February 16, 2018 I have a gtx 970 in one of my rigs and a gtx 1060 6gb in another. Both are able to handle gta 5 and fortnite at ultra settings. For a CONSTANT 60fps (with no dips below the magical 60fps), get a gtx 1070, but if you can sacrifice some anti aliasing and you are okay with some dips, go for the gtx 1060. I recommend getting a strix over fe because fans stay off when not at load. Also, gtx 1060 can also be bought at a reasonable price while the price of the 1070 has skyrocketed in the last little while. Posted February 16, 2018 last year I build a gaming rig for a friend with a 6GB GTX 1060 and it can definitely play any AA titles on high/ultra 1080p 60Hz. I would not recommend FE versions unless you later on want to watercool, as most water blocks seems to fit universally for fe versions. The fan noise, or lack there of, is much better on manufacturer versions like the Strix and other similar cards - ie. better cooling, lower noise and/or higher oc. Posted February 17, 2018 for GTA 5, you WILL have to learn how to use settings. Everything on Ultra, does NOT work if you need 60 fps at all times ;-) Know someone with an overclocked titan X (pascal), he can get GTA 5 down to 22 fps. Full HD @ max settings. Or he can get it to 92 fps in 4k. Just using the ingame settings. If you need ULTRA settings, then you want more than a 1060. And you NEVER want a Founders. Quite bad cooling, Loud etc.
