got it thx

No, that's bullshit.

YOu don't needno 650W.

And if you live in Europe you can also think about Bitfenix Formula, Whisper M and be quiet Pure Power 10 and Straight 11.

And he hasn't given you any reason to go for 650W.

Here are the facts:

a) normal components get more and more efficient. A couple of years ago you could get GPUs that are in the 225-250W range for 250-300 bucks. Today for 300bucks you can get a 150W Card or something like that.

b) with CPUs its the same. The 125-140W TDP class that was around a couple of years ago does not exist on normal Desktop Plattforms no more. They are all capped at 95W TDP.

So that leads to the conclusion that if you might need 650W, money isn't an issue!
Because we are talking about a 750buck graphics card and a HEDT system like Threadripper and that LGA20xx stuff.

Or mindless sledgehammer overclocking where you double the power consumption of a component for around 12,5% higher clocks.

OC isn't really worth it these days!

500MHz looks like it is much but we are talking from like 3,5GHz to 4 -> an increase of around 12,5%

That's like going from 90MHz to 100MHz...
