Download and install GPU-Z

When opened you see "Memory Type". There you can see what memory you have :)

Hynix, Samsung or Micron, you can look on the GPU directly, if it dosent have a backplate there is a good chance one of the chips is exposed there

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

Spoiler

Unfortunately there is a backplate, the card is the ASUS Strix GTX 970.

I'd rather not mess with it since I'm trying to sell it lol.

well no way to know for certain then, unless ASUS stuck with only one brand of its memory which i have no clue if they did. its not much work tbh, and if you are just careful should be like 10min of work and not impact anything
