Hello people, I have just one simple question. I have iOS 7.1.2 ipsw file on my pc and I have an iPhone 5s, I know apple stop signing this software thus it can not be done trough iTunes. My question is if is it possible to do that with another program and what are the consequences of that. Thanks for the help.

It's possible (At least it was the last time i checked) but the phone needs to be jailbroken before (is this a forbidden topic here btw?)

You can't there's no other way unless you hack your way in which is again much harder

The startup process described previously helps ensure that only Apple-signed code can be installed on a device. To prevent devices from being downgraded to older versions that lack the latest security updates, iOS uses a process called System Software Authorization. If downgrades were possible, an attacker who gains possession of a device could install an older version of iOS and exploit a vulnerability that’s been fixed in the newer version. On a device with Secure Enclave, the Secure Enclave coprocessor also utilizes System Software Authorization to ensure the integrity of its software and prevent downgrade installations. See the “Secure Enclave” section of this paper.

You can get almost any version of ISO ipsw online from just regular sites so that doesnt matter. Unless they are signing it there is no way to downgrade.

You can only move to OS versions that Apple is signing. Unless you are jailbroken there is not way.

Unless you were jailbroken before and backed up there is no way. For any version of iOS to be installed on your device Apple's servers have to approve it first, and they aren't signing anything older than the latest versions of iOS.
