Disk Usage at 100%

Petar_99

I have a secondary drive for my games and the usage is at 0 when I boot my pc. The only thing on the drive is my games. When i open steam the usage goes up tp 100% and none of the game from my library load. I think the HDD just spins up to 100% when i go to access anything from it and nothing on it can be read when it just gets stuck on 100%. Any ideas how to fix this or what the problem may be?

Are you using steam apps/games like wallpaper engine that might cause this?

Make sure to tag and/or quote people so they get notified... :P:D

Check your drive for errors or failiures.

Start with CrystalDiskInfo.

If it will allow that at the usage it currently has...

May it rest in peace.

And to be honest, I myself never had good experience with Seagate. They always failed after 1-3 years. My WD drives however, serve me for around 5 years.

Drive pegged at 100% with low usage is definitely the sign (in my experience from my western digital drive that decided to get rekt with at least 500 bad sectors) that it is going to give up the ghost in one way or another.
