Ryzen 3 2200g ram speed

Hello

I am pricing out a system and wanted to use the ryzen3 2200g but the only ram I can find in ddr4 2933 is $200 us for 16gb, that's half of my budget, how much of a performance hit will I see if I use slower ram.

Thanx for any assistance

Varying views on it, but the Infinity Fabric in the CPUs likes higher frequency RAM.  It's still the same Ryzen architecture as before.  You may want to wait for more reviews to be available to see how much of a variance it is.  Personally, I'd say the APUs would want HQ memory even more than normal Ryzen since they're using system memory for the integrated GPU.

Thank you I think I'm going to just go for a basic Intel setup and upgrade it later in the year when I have more money

Neither newegg or Amazon had anything smaller than 16gb as either 2 8gb modules or 16gb modules I can't seem to find singles or 4gb modules
