Edit: they are in contact with air everywhere, in the box, in the socket, at production etc.

The CPU really doesnt care which motherboard it is in as long as it's compatible. And rebuilding it isn't all that complicated either.

Gold is one of the least reactive metals. It hardly reacts with anything in the atmosphere

Oxidising gold? I think you need some Kings water for that lol

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...
