Welcome!

So money doesn't matter? Does that mean price to performance ratio isn't a factor either?

You spelt it wrong, `Hy` is spelt `00011101010001010001011110011010`

There are 10 types of people in this world, those who understand binary, and those who don't.

Money always matter, please fix a budget otherwise everybody will get crazy recommending horrible price/performance ratios. Who would have 4x 780TI except a famous overclocker who's Nvidia gives them to him...

Edit : For about 2500$ you can get almost as good as it gets for 1920x1200.

CPU : Intel Core i7 3960X, Mobo : X79-UD3, Memory : 4x4GB Vengeance Black Memory 1600MHz, GPU : Asus GTX 970 Strix, Case : Switch 810 Matte Black, Storage : 256GB Samsung 830 SSD, Seagate Barracuda 1TB, PSU : Thermaltake 750W 80+ Bronze, Displays : 3x Asus 1080p Screens, Cooling : Corsair H100i, Keyboard : Logitech G710+, Mouse : Madcat Cyborg R.A.T.7, Sound : Sennheiser HD598, V-Moda Crossfade LP, Logitech Z-5500, HMD : Oculus Rift CV1

Drop it to a 780, 16gb of ram + a 750w PSU. Done and dusted.

My Gaming Rig;  Motherboard - ASUS Maximus VI Hero | CPU - Intel i5 4670k @4.5Ghz 1.25v | GPU - GIGABYTE GTX 980 @Stock | RAM -  16GB Corsair Vengeance @1866Mhz | CPU Cooler - Corsair H100i | Storage #1 - Samsung 840 Basic 250GB SSD | Storage #2 - Sandisk II 480GB SSD | Storage #3 - 2TB 7200rpm 64mb HDDPSU - Corsair HX750 | Case - Fractal Design R4 |

Well probably a R9-290 aftermarket and a i5 4670k would be a good platform.

just grab what ever 8gb of ram you want speed won't make much of an impact

for a cpu cooler probably something like a glacier 240L and a couple noiseblocker e-loops and get a nice overclock on the i5

get a decent motherboard like a msi gd65 gaming

a nice 600-700w power supply from a reputable brand like seasonic, corsair, xfx, fsp, fractal design, and Be Quiet would suffice.

For storage get an ssd(preferebly 240gb-1tb) and if you need a mechanical drive just get what size you want. Case is also pretty much what aesthetics you like, features, and cooling.

I never mentionned my estimation was accurate, as money doesn't matter I could have been as high as I want. I just decided to put a limit there (if he accepts it) to block the 4960X + Rampage IV Extreme Black Edition + Quad 780Ti's trolls.

I tottaly agree with the budget you proposed thought.

good set up but the r9's are hard to come by right now. I'd switch it out to a 780

I would more likely to get a corsair H100i

H100i's are not worth it. £40 more and you get more noise, 1-3 degrees cooler CPU's, hassle to put in and easily breaks.

This is what I would strongly recommend at that budget, if you plan on going SLI in the future, then I would change it to a 850w PSU, that's about it though.
