Budget is 850, needs to include tower, monitor, mouse, keyboard, webcam, speakers. I will build the tower, what I mostly need help on is if I'm debating something to get opinions on it and such. I'll edit my rough draft in here soon. My main question is though, will a pentium G4560 be enough? It's 2 core 4 threads and all she really does is web browse, facebook games, sims games, etc. Right need I think she has a true quad core, but only a HDD. I know for a fact ill be putting an SSD in. I'm thinking the pentium should be fine for her. Thoughts?

Unfortunately not, it's an all in one and I can't dismantle it because she offered to let a friend use it.

I should mention she wants rgb lighting too, so I'll probably just get her some rgb fans or something.

Wait till the Ryzen 5 2400G comes out.

I'll check some of those parts out, no ryzen, don't have any bios update cpus or w/e. Has to be plug and go. All the other pcs in my house are laptops or all in ones, my build is intel so I can't bios update her ryzen board with it.

They should release new boards that are ready. Ryzen is the best option BY FAR.

sims 4 can make use of the extra power a ryzen APU has on the table.

With the new ryzen 2.0 apus coming out, and a 450 series board, there's no bios update or anything you'd need to do, however she would need to wait a month or two for the 4xx series boards to come out.  The r5 2400g is a great balance and I think that would much better fit this price range than a pentium and a gpu (maybe later)

🙂

Yea but it runs fine with igpu and I told you I don't want to do ryzen, I'm building this rig in like 2 weeks, when does the 2400g even launch?

Can't wait, her AIO is super slow and dying out and we probably won't have the funds by then, tax return comes in like 2 weeks and with the way my parents spend money they probably wont be able to hold on to it that long lol

I don't know when things are released, check google, i have no knowledge of the release dates because I haven't looked, but if it's less than a month and they've already set aside a budget for the build, they can hold onto the money for a week if the release dates are within that time frame.

🙂
