ill research them a bit but i might also save up for these https://en-us.sennheiser.com/high-quality-headphones-around-ear-audio-surround-hd-650

They aren't noise canceling but I suppose not everyone cases about the quality of sound. I forget people have different tastes and perhaps the "High-quality titanium/silver finish" is where the 500$ price comes in.

I still feel like the M40x with upgraded pads is a good entrance into "high quality" audio. While a little bright/sharp at times, they were the first headphones that made me really appreciate the highs in my listening gear and not only look for "what is gonna make my head shake with bass". They have awesome soundstage as well which is a nice bonus. HD6xx are probably the best all-around headphones for the money though and the fulla2 can definitely drive them.

Here's how you decide... First ask yourself what does "better quality" mean to me. For example I like a flat and wide frequency response and a wide soundstage. Then go on YouTube or something and find out what brands the "audiophiles" are drooling over and buy something from those brands that fits your needs and price. I own a pair of HD 518's from Sennheiser and although they may not be the best headphones they do what I ask of them and it's what I could afford at the time. Ultimately the headphones you pick aren't really better or worse than another set because they all have a different sound and how one pair sounds to you may or may not be good to someone else. I don't feel like going up in price really helps that much unless you like something that a certain expensive pair have. Like I would love a pair of planar magnetic headphones but right now they're just too expensive for me and it wouldn't be worth it for me to spend like 500$ on a pair of headphones.
