My case lacks a USB type c port on the front, and i have some usb c equipped devices. However my motherboard has a usb 3.1 (yes 3.1 not 3.0) type A on the back. I planned on mounting a hub that has a couple of usb type c ports on it (at least 2) and preferably an sd card slot under my desk. I cannot find any that just have usb c ports. Does anyone know of any? I have a converter that a can use to go from usb c to usb 3.1 type a.

Hi

Have you looked at a PCI card with 2 Thunderbolt connection

ASRock

https://www.asrock.com/mb/spec/product.us.asp?Model=Thunderbolt 3 AIC#Manual

Once you have the c you can then install a  hub

found on Amazon or Newegg

Sorry Mistake :

Just did a quick check and you need a preexisting  ThunderBolt connection on the mother board.

Found this cable You just need a hub

The hub part is what we're looking for. Cables are all over the place.

I feel like this thread has run away on the OP.

The OP is looking for a hub with Type C ports. It's probably fed by a type C port. The Belkin cable linked to earlier will help the OP with that but that doesn't seem to be the hard part to find. Besides, I have a single type C port on my motherboard and would like more. All the hubs I find have type A ports on them, even if they connect to the PC via type C.

We're looking for hubs to which we can connect type C cables. As far as the power that keeps getting mentioned, I'm sure the hub would be powered.

So... Is this a unicorn?
