hi guys im thinking about starting mining for like 2 hours a day and i have a gtx 1080ti

so is it gonna effect my gpu if i am going to start mining??

its not gonna kill your GPU, but its most likely not profitable in any way.

 

for any kind of mining to be profitable you *need* to be in a region with cheap power.

So long as the temps are reasonable you could mine for 24 hours a day and it really wouldn't have much impact aside on the fans.

Agreed.

Especially at 2 hours a day the OP is looking at MAYBE $0.50/day ignoring electricity costs for those two hours.

As long as temps are not high, I remember mining with my gtx 660 for months non stop and I never had issues

As everyone else has said, you need to mine pretty much the entire time to make anything worth your while.  There are minimum amount's for withdraws and there are fee's so you won't be getting paid very often.  I have two cards running 24/7 and that makes me $3 a day. Figure out what your cost of electricity is first.  Then you can worry about wear on your card.

Minig with 20 of those cards. Dont see how it’s gonna hurt something being used. 

 

2 hours isn’t worth the time or energy though. Wouldn’t do anything to the card either.
