No, you need to create a Windows 10 install medium. This can be done from any Windows PC not running Winblows Pissta or older.

do you have the broken pieces still?

id super glue the plastic back in place(plastiweld cement) but broken pin is issue though

be best to find another sata drive and desoldier and swap the pin headers out

The pin didnt break, its just stuffed into the casing, and the plastic piece is stuck in my sata cable

Get the right type of screwdriver and take a look inside :P

Yeah I know you mentioned you didn't have the correct one, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't go out and buy it ;)

Nothing you can do at this point without getting that 7th pin back into place, the SSD is SOL without it.

i had the same problem with hdd, leave the piece inside the cable, put the cable on the connector, tape it down, maybe some epoxy and leave till you can afford new one

One of the pins isnt making contact anymore, trust me. I tried it

it is possible, some nice specialist could solder directly to pcb,

Not really worth it for a 120GB Samsung SSD that was about $50 new lol.

Well, i would need new windows as well. Since i bought windows 8 back in 2014 and i cant stand using it. I therefore upgraded to windows 10, i would be stuck on windows 8 if i had to reinstall it.

It might be worth just sending it to samsung for repairs, warranty is voided as soon as you open the casing.

Idk if its still under warrenty anymore, i think i bought it at the end of 2015. But i dont quite remember. + i dont think they’d give me a new copy of windows

Actually no. If you upgraded from 8 to 10, your key is registered to the motherboard, not the SSD. No need to even type in the serial during setup, just ignore and it'll activate automatically.

You mean a bootable USB?

Do you know how much space I'd need?

a 4gig or 8gig flash drive should be good.
