is it possible to use a older or slower Graphics card to boost the overall power? (not talking about SLI or anything what i'm talking about is like a big generator with a little one boosting the overall power output of them both)

Yes, you can totally use an older graphics card to boost the power... consumption of your rig. Linus made a video about using an older gpu as a physiX accelerator (tl;dr: not worth it)
