Usb headset sound crackling

sAnr0

For the past week I'm having an issue with my sound (using USB headset).

I hear a crackling / interrupted sound

Nevermind what I put on I hear that sound

(It all happened after a clean Windows install)

I've tried a different usb port

Tried to unplug all usb devices (thought maybe one interfering with my audio)

Tried to update the drivers.

Tried the headphones with another pc (works fine)

Maybe one of you guys can help me solve that annoying issue

Please help ?️?️?️?️

You said you updated the drivers, but did you try uninstalling them and installing them fresh? And have you tried USB ports that you know are driven by separate controllers? Try in a USB 2.0 instead of 3.0 or vice versa, and also try your front panel ports. I am doubtful it is a software issue, it seems like something related to your USB power delivery.

I've tried front panel / usb 2

And I tried using a powered hub

Nothing works properly

I would agree but apparently they work properly on other computers.

Emi?

ElectroMagnetic Interference.

interference from external sources, like other cables or devices that arent properly shielded.

its kinda like how sometimes speakers will crackle and pop when you're getting a phone call. or the fact that everybody on my discord knows im about to get a text before i do cuz my mic starts hissing

you can use something like this to help prevent it.

not say that thats your issue, but its possible.

I don't think that's the issue , because I unplugged everything , and left the only the headset plugged and still crackling ??

it could literally be the power cable from either your psu or monitor, or your hdmi cable that can cause emi. or a microwave, or TV, literally anything that uses electricity, not just other devices.

again, not saying it your issue, but its very possible.   you could try in safe mode and see if it happens. that would narrow it down.
