I like the Idea of a Vita but it’s too expensive for me to justify it. Along with the fact I have an XBOX and PC, neither of which are passable as a modern gaming system.

No reason to. Project Scorpio and the PS4 Pro happened because of the end of a Fab line the originals were produced on, but Sony has no reason to look to move to new hardware yet. 2019 is the earliest, but they could go all the way to 2020 if they feel like it.

 

Odds are they'll also want to produce on a high volume "7nm" process, which haven't started ramping production yet. And I'm arguing myself into expecting the PS5 in 2020.

Have looked at it, still too expensive.

Keep in mind I am a teenager with minor money to spend. This Summer I’ll have a job and likely be able to afford it and a PC.

Fair enough. Personally a vita is actually a pretty nice portable and it's more comfortable in the hand than a 3ds. If only Sony got the support Nintendo did.

 

OT: As long as MS forks over the money anyone will sell. I find all three scenarios unlikely to be honest.
