Overclocking = Dead Pixel?

Maybe I'm just being paranoid, but I have had my LG 29UM69-G which is a native 2560x1080p75hz monitor overclocked all the way to 96hz stable, works like a charm and I feel the difference straight off from 60hz (native if using HDMI) to the 96hz with Display Port + overclock.

 

Thing is just recently I spot the very first dead pixel on the screen, lucky enough it is a lonely pixel at the very bottom of the screen so it hardly is noticeable unless I get close enough to the screen and stare directly at it with bright light colours, so far no issues but it got me thinking, could the refresh rate overclock have caused this or was it just a random unfortunate event?

Actually did the hard pressuring and rubbing with toilet paper for a bit and it turned back on lmao
