A New Patreon

I am working on building a website it will work a lot like how patreon works now but the goal will be to keep the profits low and to get the creators pay % from 90 to 95 or Maybe 97%

 it will be open to everyone and no one will  be kicked off the website for political reasons

 

anyone here have experiences with building websites, do you think you could build a website like this for £5000 to £10000.

 

would you invest in the website £1000 for %1 of the profits up to a maximum of £20000 %20 of the profits

if you had a patreon would you switch from patreon to this new website for a rise of %5 to %7  

what do you think of the idea.

So you want creators to pay money to join it? Why would they do that when they can go somewhere else and not pay? 

 

How do you plan to generate income? Allowing anything on the platform will chase away advertisers.

no i want the the money creators get to go from 90% to 95%

I hope you factored in server operating costs, ongoing site maintenance, software de-buging, payment conversion costs and other overhead exspenses that will go into this sort of thing. I am pretty sure Patreon has a reason they kept 10% for themselves for either profit or R&D/reinvestment... 

Just sayin.

Yeah, Patreon or LibrePay or whatever works for you. (Talking to OP)

 

I'd advise against making a competing system unless you have a strong desire to burn through money.
