Bought this to replace an Asus MX279H that got broke(kids).  Asus is a bit higher quality, but outside of that, not seeing any differences.  Plus the 75Hz refresh rate is nicer in games.

As in the panel is nicer or better build quality? I am currently on a mx279h

Very minor step down from the MX279H, but you are talking about a $100+ difference, so not unexpected.
