Any links to a guide, or maybe you could give me a brief intro to LTC (what it is and why it's better than bitcoin)? Btw yeah it's my favorite show :)

Have you tried turning it off and on again?

Litecoin is not better than Bitcoin, but it's more friendly to mine, it's also freely exchanged for Bitcoin on various exchanges. The common comparison is Litecoin is Silver, to Bitcoins Gold.

You can Mine Bitcoins with your 7970, however it's about 21 times more profitable to mine Litecoins. You can then decide to keep Litecoins, or exchange them for other currencies such as Bitcoin, or your local Fiat. At current market value, you could potentially mine $7.50 USD per day worth of Litecoins.

A guide to set up a miner can be found here https://www.coinat.com/tutorials/how-to-mine-litecoins-with-cgminer-on-windows/

You can sign up for any pool, you don't need to use the one suggested. I have a bunch of invites for Liteguardian if you send me a PM with an email I can give you an invite.

You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.
Users cannot, and will not securely manage key material. Most users can't and the ones that can, wont.

Ask me about Bitcoin, Litecoin, Crypto-Currencies, and/or Mining them.

Have you tried turning it off and on again?

That site looks dodgy as hell.

God yes, I would never ever do that. I could get a new litecoin adres with 0 LTC on it and see if it works tho. But god, I would not use my current wallet adress for that. lol.

For OP: with a 7970, depending on wich one you get you should get around 550 to 650khash. My XFX one is running at 560 wich is just a bad card to mine with. While my MSI card was able to get 640. And I just recently started with mining so I can likely tweak the cards a little better to get more khash. But do note, that with a bronze PSU, your PSU will draw more power compared to a gold/plat one. Meaning it will give less profit for mining. Aswell, when you do mine - you can not do anything with that card. So if you want to game you need to stop mining.

I said that the site listed above is very dodgy. Why would anyone give away free LTCs? Aswell, yes there is much to learn. Have fun.
