Are These Overclocking Settings Safe for Ryzen 3 1300X with Stock Cooler?

Liro

Are these settings safe for my CPU with stock cooler? I just want to make sure before I apply them...

you get get away with a slight overclock, but you aren't going to get very far :)

K, I just need to know if the voltage is ok for 3.9GHz, as I have never overclocked before...

what temps you get under load?

Not sure, haven't checked yet...I heard that 3.9GHz is fine with the stock cooler, I just don't know the voltage I need...

Start with stock voltage

Check it's stability with AIDA64 or something for a bit

Increase voltage by 0.01 to start with and slowly go up from there.

ok, the method to overclock is start at stock, then add 100-200 mhz at a time until something crashs, if you have thermal headroom at that point then add a little voltage, as each chip is going to behave differently, some push further on stock voltage while some will crash as soon as you start.

Ok, I will do that, I just set the voltage to what someone else had stable, I just wanted to double check :)

Just want to make sure you saw my edit. I meant to say 0.01, not 0.05 :)

safe = good temperatures under load (below 80C)

So don't push the voltage too high so you don't get much over 80C

Stock Voltage is 1.23750V, I have it at 1.26250V

I did a quick test about 10 minutes long on AIDA 64, and the temperature leveled out at 42C...

Nice!

I would call that fairly stable and cool :)

I am now, but for some reason the clock speed is stuck at 1.55GHz, even under load...
