Want to order everything from Canadian retailers. Hopping to play battlefield 4 on high with playable fps and some other less demanding steam titles. Looking to save the $100 from a windows license and try out steam os as I'm only going to use the machine for gaming. I already have the case, its an Antec gx700 (got it on sale for $25!). This is all going to be on a single 24" monitor at 1080p.

-AMD fx6300

-Asus M5A87 AM3+ with usb3

-2x4gb dimms ddr3 1600 kingston predator (only $55)

- WD 500gb Caviar Blue

-Gigabyte 270x or gtx760 (760 is about $40 more when I was shopping around)

-Corsair 500w PSU

My main concern is if I should save a little more and go for the 760 or would the performance difference be fairly negligible? Any help is very much appreciated.

760 is more powerful than 270x, but its pretty much your decision if you want to spend a little more and get a little better performance or youre fine with this...

Which 270 do you think would have the lowest temps and over clock the best? Think I'll get a 270 and just over clock it to 270x speeds

Doesn't make much of a difference. They're all pretty similar.

Thank you for the help I appreciate it :) If I can find a 7870 for cheap that is pretty much equivalent to the r9 270/x right? I'm seeing some for quite the bargain

Yeah, the 270 is pretty much just a 7870 rebrand.
