Seems pretty nice. With $3000 and the flexibility it provides, this is more or less what I would have chosen.

I'm also assuming you have a mouse on-hand, as you didn't list one?

"M. Aronnax." replied the Canadian, "your arguments are rotten at the foundation. You speak in the future, 'We shall be there! we shall be here!' I speak in the present, 'We are here, and we must profit by it.'"

Seems pretty nice though the changes I'd make would be getting rid of those turbine fans, I have one and they aren't what they cracked up to be, change them for a pair of Fractals and the other change would be to rid the Thermaltake PSU and replace it with a Seasonic unit

Also is 2,400MHz necessary, wouldn't it be better to get a slower kit which is cheaper and you'll notice no difference in perforamance unless you had an APU?

Get a 9590 or 4930K, those make more sense for the price

pretty much this...

I'm sure if you tweaked the build you could even get a second 780ti into the budget..

Although, sorry I didn't read that you needed is and peripherals as well

The i7-4830K in this build doesn't really make sense. At stock speeds the i7-4770K is a better cpu. In fact in gaming it is a far better cpu. The i7-4930K would be a better choice if the additional computational power and memory bandwidth of LGA2011 is needed.

If X79 is used then it makes sense to take advantage of quad channel memory, even if the 4x4GB parts cannot reach 2400MHz data transfer speeds. Of course the ideal would be both quad channel and high speed memory.

Since there was no mention of 3-way SLI or other particular features, an AU$425 motherboard seems excessive.

I'd suggest going with an i7-4770K build. It's performance would exceed an i7-4820K, especially in gaming.

would be better ?

I plain on geting anther gpu later on so SLI will be used.

Yes, quad channel is faster than dual channel. The part isn't in either the Asus or G.Skill QVL, but it should work.

The psu size makes sense now.

Did you consider the Asus P9X79 motherboard?

Seasonic manufactures some of the best psus if not the best.

hmm its about a 80% gameing rig and 20% i use 3d max and a few other programs

Personal preference with the PSU, I feel that Seasonic make a far better quality product and also haven't had much to do with Thermaltake, the fan I have is a 120mm Mach 0.8, I thought it was going to be good but it doesn't move as much air as I'd like and considering the price I should have got Fractal fans instead.

Also those fans can be quite delicate, if you do go for them be careful not to snap the blades off, really isn't difficult to do.

the 9590 is the worlds biggest waste of money. Its just an 8320 OC'd to its tits. He can OC his 8320 to 9590 speeds, and save about $500 to put towards something else.
