Logical Implication Equivalence

ExplOregon

Hello all, I was given a question involving an implication and I'm supposed to show that it is a tautology by using equivalence.

We were given a pretty simply chart for equivalences and I cannot see any applicable conversions to show that it is indeed a tautology.

I attached the chart below.

The question was A -> (B -> A)

Just a hint since this forum is not about asking people to do your homework for you: start with a sentence that's already a tautology, then using the chart prove that the sentence you started at is equivalent to the one you were given.

We have a NEW and GLORIOUSER-ER-ER PSU Tier List Now. (dammit @LukeSavenije stop coming up with new ones)

You can check out the old one that gave joy to so many across the land here

It's more of studying for my exam, but I'll try to write out a sentence and try to apply the chart to see if I can figure it out

The one equivalency that looks a lot like your test is the last one: P->(QvR) == (P^~Q)->R

Edit: Actually looks like you can solve it by just applying P->Q == ~PvQ

Well, I will not tell you the answer, but I will tell you what my discrete mathematics teacher always told me:

The first step to proving anything is to prove it to yourself. The second step is to prove it to others. The third step is to review your work because you never really understood it anyway.
