Posted January 16, 2018 Hey, so i have a problem i need som guidance too. I have a threadripper system, until today it worked fine, i moved it today to a new case and after that the system wouldnt boot. I get qcode 00 post error. The system goes thru memory, cpu, vga and hdd load but stops after that. This is with only one ramstick in. Ive tried the commoen things, and when i put more ram int it, it just continues to go in endless reboot circle. Reseated the cpu with same results. Is it the cpu or motherboard, my insticnt tells me it is the mothaerboard because of the reboot cycle. But qcode00 is known to be cu, but would it then go thru cpu load, when i didnt tight the cooler hard enough it stopped and told med to check cpu, so that means that the cpu is okay right? Need Answers quick, as i live in norway and if i order the replacmentpart before 12, i get it tomorrow Main Rig: CPU: Intel i7 6800k @ 4.2- 4.3 ghz 1.390V CPU Cooler: Corsair H110i GT Motherboard: Asus x99-E LGA 2011-3 RAM: 32GB DDR4 4 x 8 GB Hyperx Fyru 2133 Mhz Storage: Intel 535 240 GB SSD, Intel 530 240 GB SSD, Seagate Barracuda 2.0 TG SSHD GPU: Asus GTX 1070 Dual OC cooled by an NZXT G10 & Intel TS13X running @ 1904/2126mhz and 4475mhz Memory+Stock Asus GTX 1070 Dual OC Case: INWin GR One Power Supply: Corsair HX850i Monitor: Hitach 49" 4k lowms TV and a 24 AOC 1080p Monitor Keyboard: Corasir Vengance K90 & Logitech G13 Speedpad Mouse: Logitech G600 MMO/G602 on an Icemat 2.0 w/glides Speakers: LG LAS455H(D8) Soundbar & Logitech G933 Artemis Spectrum Snow Edition Headphones NAS/CS:GO Server CPU: AMD FX8320 Stock Cooler: Corsair H100i M otherboard: Asus Sabertooth 990 REV 2.0 RAM: 4x4 GB Corsair Vengance Storage: 2 x Kingston Hyperx 120 GB SSD & 4 X Seagate 2 TB SSHDGPU: random nvidia 512 mb card PSU: Coolermaster B500 Case: NZXT Phantom S240 Addons: NZXT LXE Fancontrol Intel quad gigabit eterhernet card. Posted January 16, 2018 (edited) Q-Code 00 usually means CPU fault. Have you checked to see if it has any physical damage (i.e. the contact pads on the bottom of the chip)? As another potential side point, this may sound completely unrelated but bear with me. - Are you using a mini-display port to connect your graphics card to your monitor? If you have a full sized display port cable try to use that instead. If not, try to unplug/re-plug your minidisplay port cable on both ends. I had some very strange boot/POSTing issues on the zenith extreme + 1950X and in the end and unbelievably the display cable was the cause. I would guess its the board if you don't think you've done anything to damage the CPU - simply because there are more exposed components. I find it unlikely for something like this to die suddenly, so its hard to say. If for some crazy reason your new case doesn't have stand offs or something like that it may have been damaged. I suppose its probably good to just check the booting outside of the case just in case its something like that, but I suppose that's unlikely.
