$1000 Video Editing Build

I am going to be building my first desktop pc since my laptop has recently died, because I was ignorant to how all of this works, and overworked the hell out of my CPU to the point that I killed it. I am planning on building a Video Editing workstation, nothing too crazy though, just to make some short videos of my hobbies. Would I get better performance out of this or should I not worry too much about task specific hardware and just build a multipurpose workstation? I am sticking with a $1000 Budget and my build on PC PartPicker is around $965. Would I be wasting money on certain components where I should be optimizing?

For the most part it looks great. I would just suggest that you drop the aftermarket cooler and the 120GB SSD for this instead:

you don't need an aftermarket cooler and this machine will not produce much heat so i would let go the extra fans as well...instead get more RAM because 8GB won't get you very far. so yeah, i would try to cut some corners here and there...case is also too expensive for what it is IMHO...
