I need help with External GPU's

So Im planning on getting an External GPU for my all In one PC. My all in one does include a Thunderbolt 2 port in the back. Would I be able to use a thunderbolt converter like this one here: http://amzn.to/2B19NML, Connect the Thunderbolt 3 cable to the External GPU, and then run a Thunderbolt 2 cable from the port on my computer, to the converter its self.. Is this possible. Or am I just stuck with poor Graphics?

eGPUs over thunderbolt 2 aren't good at all. not enough bandwidth.

You are stuck. eGPUs don't work well at all over Thunderbolt 2. Even thunderbolt 3 is a 25%+ hit to performance of a GPU.

So are you implying that it wouldn't work at all, or would just perform poorly.

it might work but don't expect much if it does.

thunderbolt 2 has only half the bandwidth of thunderbolt 3. and thunderbolt 3 is already holding back most graphics cards significantly

i assume that using more than a GT 1030 or GTX 750 as eGPU might be a waste of money.

then again, even a bottlenecked GTX750 might be miles ahead of whatever integrated graphics you have.

It would perform extremely poorly
