Hi everyone!

Just got the rest of my rig today and put everything together, it's been boot-looping for ~30 minutes and I'm beginning to wonder if it should be doing it this long. Should I try flashing the BIOS?

specs:

Ryzen 5 1600

8Gb DDR4-2133 generic G.Skill memory

ASRock AB350-Pro4

I don't want to take off the chipset heatsink lol but I did find that on ASRock's support site.

It's also not showing up in the UEFI which is kind of odd....

The BIOS chip is the small one directly above the top pcie x1 slot

It should have a gray sticker with "Px.xx" on it

im pretty sure ur PC isnt boot looping, it might just be looking for a boot device? If it lets you stay in the UEFI nothing should be wrong.

I have a boot device that is detected in the UEFI, pretty sure that isn't the problem. After exiting UEFI it'll show the Starting Windows screen and then a quick flash of blue/black and then restart again.

I reused my HDD from my old rig. Also custom-built, FM2-based.

Then it isn't hardware boot looping, if its reaching the windows start screen the issue is the windows install?

You didn't install windows, and i doubt you did a sysprep either, its not going to work.

You need to install windows using a UEFI boot media.
