Dark Rock Pro 3 or Pro 4?

sauce-c

I planned on getting a DRP3 but then saw the DRP4 is coming out Q2. I dont know when I will have all of the parts together for my new build, so I'm sure I could wait for the 4. However, the DRP3 is on sale for $70 today only. I will be using low profile memory. I'm assuming the DRP4 will be about $90, so do you think the new features and performance will be worth an extra $20? This will be used on a 8700K.

Its fully compatible with my current RAM (Vengeance LPX), Case (Corsair 270R), and Socket (LGA 1151).

not worth waiting imo

I personally don't think the difference will be that huge that it would be completely worth it. The DRP 3 still is one of the best coolers even if compared to aios

I didn't think that the performance would be a huge difference, but i figured id open the question to people more experienced with air cooling.

No one knows what performance will be before we get some benchmarks and reviews. Only thing we know is that it has superior mounting hardware compared to previous.

The current mounting hardware on the DRP3 is a pain to work with. I had to have a second pair of hands help install mine.
