Ram Coolers

I'm thinking of buying a G.SKILL FTB-3500C5-D Fans RAM cooler. Am I making a massive mistake?

Why? Case airflow is more than enough to cool the RAM.

There's no real reason to get a memory cooler unless you're overclocking quite a bit and they're actually kicking out a lot of heat.

Ram doesnt really get hot enough to need even a heat sink in most cases. They are just there for aesthetic reasons, also the small fans on that cooler would be nosier.

Random image from google image search. I used to have even bigger copper loop ones matching an old MSI X48 board. I wonder if I have the pictures for it still.

Fuck you photo bucket. I had copper loops on the CPU coolers mono heatsink, custom ram coolers and ATI 3850 xfire.
