Why do people ask  the obvious? For example, they see the end of the line and they ask "IS THIS TEH END OF TEH LIEN?". When my mom was cooking dinner, my sister asked "ARE U KUKING DINNR?" Now this derpface asked my what I was playing when I was playing gmod. It's irritating!

I know this is a tech forum, but I can't find the answer on Google. Is there some sort of natural insanity within people?

Far from illustrating insanity, such a question can be interpreted as shorthand for "Hi. I see you doing xxx. I'm interested in talking with you. Care to tell me more about what you are doing?".

Reasonable and sane responses are "Yes. I'm a little busy right now and need to concentrate.", "Yes. How are you doing?", "Yes, I'm making a {name of dish}", "Yes, I'm playing gmod. It's this really neat . . .", "Yes. How was your day?".

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.
