I recently bought a pair of HyperX Cloud Stingers and they are great but I've noticed a flaw in them and I want to find out if that's a con to the headset or that mine are faulty. So the problem I have is even when the mic is muted it works like normal when it comes to noises like my voice and everything not connected with the headset, but if my mic is muted and I try to play something through the headset at a moderate volume my friends can hear what I'm listening to on their end while I'm muted. I want to return them as fast as possible since I paid like 80 euro for them (prices are horrible in my country).

The sad thing is we don't have corsair headsets here and anything close to this price point for me are the Arctis 3 which are 20 euro more. And maybe I should have said that the sound my friends hear is really faint and on discord, the way I set them up they can only hear sudden loud noises but still there is a flaw

I had a similar problem, turned out it had something to do with the front jacks on my computer case when I plugged the headset into the back directly into the motherboard ports the problem went away. Maybe try plugging the headset into different ports would be my suggestion

Just tried the other ports I have on my PC and the issue still persists.

Actually, in the motherboard ports it seems to be really random the first couple of times I tried to see if there is some sound leak there was a lot and I tried muting the mic and unmuting it and now its better I mean the issue is still there but it isn't as loud as before
