Do i really need an upgrade?

i5-4670

MSI H81M-E33

Avexir Core DDR3 1x8GB 1600mhz

MSI GTX 1060 6GB Armor

 

Is it really worth it to upgrade to 6/7th generation and ddr4? And is possible that my cpu bottleneck my GPU? Im still on college so i dont really have much money to spent

If your CPU is still capable of doing the things you want to do at a level of performance you're happy with, there's no need to upgrade. If it's not, it's time.

No, not in your case. Mobos become limiting if they're stuck with low-clocked RAM, they don't have enough SATA ports, their SATA ports are 3Gbps instead of 6, lack of USB ports, K CPU paired with a locked mobo, etc. The H81 chipset is actually a great value right now.

Only thing I would go to is 8400 and up or 1600 and up. That i5 is still a really solid chip and there’s no reason to be upgrading unless you need more cores.
