Games lag every 2 seconds

Hello!

 

Since about two days, I encountered lag issues when playing more graphic intensive games like Titanfall 2 and Prey.

About every two seconds the video output of the game just hangs for a short time. The audio however has no issues. Lowering the graphic settings does not help.

 

I updated/reinstalled the graphic driver and I did a RAM test with memtest86.

 

My specs are:

• I5 7600K
• GTX 1060 6GB
• 16GB DDR4 RAM
• ASRock Z270 Pro4 Mainboard

Does anybody know what the issue is and how to fix it?

I had something similar, for me it was GTA V. Restarting it sometimes helped but I think it's a memory thing for me. So basically... bumb

Have you tried removing nvidia bloat? I heard there is some sort of 3d audio thing that's a bit buggy.
