Should get a 1440p 144hz IPS display minimum, TN is always trash

Then You should either get a 1950X for overkill/top tier streaming, which is what I would do, but I'm crazy and want the best CPU I could get

1060 and 580 pricing is dumb, but the display is free-sync, so 580 I guess is the way to go, should be like a $200-250 card...

would also suggest a case with a bit better airflow

Should ask if he wants a silent PC for the streaming, if so you want a Be Quiet! 600 case, a silent PC will naturally run hotter though

Or a Define series case, I can't hear mine when I'm running a stress test and my ear is on the side panel, or vents.

Think I'd rather go 4k if you're going to spend over $500

Every one has preferences, after I tried 21:9 I vowed never go back to the boring 16:9 :P besides better refresh rate.

I'd say j get the ASUS PG279Q with G-Sync. Otherwise it is amazing. And getting a 1950X for streaming is useless. 6 cores is enough. Otherwise invest in Ryzen 7 1700X or 1800X. Or X299 and i7-7820X.
