Poor performance on new build

It doesn't even show my video card (Gigabyte 1080TI)

 

In Heaven Unigine, I'm getting SIX (6) FPS on all setting (Ultra down to Medium)

 

VDDC never goes above idle (.825V)

 

Is this likely to be a GPU problem, motherboard, PSU?

Sounds like you didn't install drivers to me, though I could be wrong. It would explain the lack of software recognition though. Are you using the correct display output as well?

You probably forgot to install the drivers

Where did you connect your monitor cable to?

From the looks of things, you connected it to the back of the MOTHERBOARD...so you are using the iGPU on your i7-8700K.

Make sure your monitor is plugged into the back of your GTX 1080Ti.

The system worked for about a week. This has happened suddenly.

 

It starred when it started rebooting after every round of Battlefront 2. Event ID 41.

 

That's when I started running the benchmarks.

 

Heaven Unigine displays 1080 TI  as the graphics card.

 

Ideas?

1. In bios make sure it is set to peg not igpu 

2. Make sure its plugged into gpu not mobo

3. Uninstall drivers with ddu...then reinstall

3.5 . Make sure motherboard chipset drivers etc are all good...though thus should not really matter

4. If not...then do the painful clean install of windows. 

 

This is the process i would go through. If that all fails then rma.

I did everything except the clean install.

 

I also tried the system with a pair of old AMD cards I had laying around.  Same results.

 

I'm gonna check the card on my old system, but I think this is a MB issue.

Yeah...could be...you could also try a different pcieX16 port
