ASUS Multicore Enhancement With Locked CPUs

Remember the whole mini-drama about ASUS having multicore enhancement enabled by default on intel's Z370 platform which basically kept all cores pegged at their turbo boost frequency?

I'm looking to buy a locked intel i5, and was wondering how multicore enhancement affects locked CPUs, and if this feature is available on lower-tier platforms that will come out soon (like B360).

Im not sure if im correct so dont quote me, but i believe it would just run normally or try to push the locked CPU to its turbo speed.

Example: the i5-8400 has a base speed of 2.8GHz, with a turbo boost speed of 4GHz. So it might push harder to hit that turbo speed. Again im not 100% sure. Keep in mind any motherboard will try and hit turbo boost speed if temperature allows it.

Dont MCE allow locked CPUs to reach maximum turbo speed with all cores even when all are under full load? In B360 or H310 however it shouldn't be available, so CPUs will work the old way, i.e. turbo bins.

My Asus H97-Plus board just lets my cpu (i5-4590) access it's turbo speed of 3.7 GHz more consistently, and across all cores.

My eyes see the past…

Got a i7 4790k and whenever MCE is turned on i'll get a blue screen after about an hour under load. So I keep it off.
