I hope you live somewhere cold because you're basically using your GPU as a space heater.

 

If you're talking about crypto currency in general, my guess is you haven't a clue what you're on about, judging by the vagueness of your post. Just reading some 'mining for dummies' article would be to most helpful thing to get you going, instructables or YouTube or something.

How hard are they to convert to actual money? My cards are 2 1080s and no I know basically nothing about mining. Unless were talking minecraft....

They aren't hard to convert to money but the actual mining is the problem. On nicehash profitability calculator, it recommends to mine Equihash coins like Zcash and you could mine Ethereum, just not Bitcoin. No one mines bitcoin on a GPU you need an ASIC to do that.

Used to be everywhere in LTT forums, had a break which lasted apparently 1 year LOL. 

Gonna get up againnnn.

It would be much more profitable (but risky for the market) and you could expect to get your money back - lets say you got the Antminer S9 - in 100 days ($2700)

but a better choice would be the Dragonmint 16T ($1600) and payback time of 50 days. The 16T would also generate you $11k a year! A great choice.

Im not sure you can get the SP50 ($37k) but it generates the most a year with up to $72K a year! Wow. Look on this website for more rigs at different prices:

Frig bit coins were alot.... If i had spent like 5k on them a few years ago I would have like 250k.... Thanks again for the advice. The calculator is telling me that with running my main rig for ethereum I should make 4 dollars a day
