Corsair Air 540 HDD Help

shadowr1ku

Hello guys!

So I got myself a Corsair 540 Air, and I am dumb enough to not plan properly and it can only hold 2 HDDs, and I can't return it sadly. Anybody know any tricks on adding more than 2 HDD? (I am getting a SSD but it's for a different reason)

Thanks guys!

Yes. You could just leave it on top of one and another but that would risk the 7200rpm platters to simply destroy themselves.

Use industrial strength velcro to secure it?

@Alibaladin There is 2 HHD bays in the front. In the back is a quad SSD rack I think.

You could drill holes but then that would void your warranty.

Dude that thing is expensive

You could buy a 250Gb SSD and a 1Tb HDD for less than that

http://www.ebuyer.com/602205-wd-black-dual-drive-1tb-hdd-120gb-ssd-wd1001x06xdtl

£244.98 so we say £245 to round to 2 decimal points.

http://www.ebuyer.com/319639-seagate-1tb-barracuda-internal-hard-drive-oem-st1000dm003

Kingston 256gb SSD for £105.99 to £106 + a OEM 1Tb HDD for £50

So your saving about £80

Although you have them both in a single 2.5" form factor is great but it's very costly.
