yup. a 7700k would be a good budget choice. 8700k would be a good choice as well if you wanted to stay more up to date.

Well, any cpu you get will be affected by the vulnerabilities. And besides, the patch won't affect newer Intel cpu's.

actually it was just discovered that the newer branch predictors were skipping the fix, so a more expensive fix is needed.

and amd is only afected by one of the 3 vulnerabilities, and the 1 one is more dangerous

yeah thats what i was also thinking as well, becuase if its about singlecore i can get a ryzen 3 and overclock it, unless ryzen doesnt play nice with adobe.
