What deals did you snag for the holidays?

Junpaku

What good deals were you able to take advantage of during Black Friday sales or any other sales recently? Really curious how cheap things can get in your neck of the woods.

If  you didn't get anything yet, are you planning on getting/buying something later on before the new year?

The Australian $ is too sh*t right now to even consider purchasing much tech-related stuff from amazon.

I wish we manufactured something worthwhile here and I wish we could have another mining boom....

I picked up the FX-8320 for $135, WD Blue for $50, a nice camera for $50 (a gift for someone) and a graphics tablet for $40 (also a gift).

I would have loved to have bought a SSD for myself during the sales but then i wouldn't have been able to afford gifts for anyone =P

These deals aren't insane but they're decent:

  • $99... 3TB USB 3.0 Toshiba desktop HDD (currently attached to my router partitioned as 3 drives as network storage)
  • $99... Logitech G930
  • $129... 600 rounds of 7.62 x 39mm ammo
  • $179... 500 rounds of .223 ammo

Unfortunately, I didn't do my research and have recently discovered that all of my ammo is steel cased and no indoor ranges allow it for a number of reasons so I'll either have to wait for it to get warmer outside and go to an outdoor range or find someone who has private property :/ At least I'll be stocked for the zombie apocalypse if it happens between now and then xD

Mobile Devices I ASUS Zenbook UX31E I Nexus 7 (2013) I Nexus 5 32GB (red)

So far a Sandisk Ultra 16GB SDHC for my Raspberry Pi for $10, Microsoft brand Xbox360 controller for $25, and some games from Steam; Skyrim Legendary for $20.39, Castle Crashers pack for $4.22, and Brutal Legend for $1.99. I also bought the new Humble Bundle for $5 if that counts? Still looking for a good deal on some 3TB Barracudas.
