Built my first pc, low CPU speed then blue screen..

DanLWK

I recently built my first pc, i7 3770 w/ 1050 ti! some of my temps are 90+ constantly while watching YouTube videos! my CPU speed will go down to 0.24-0.50GHZ If i open 2 youtube tabs or attempt to play any game then it will blue screen but If i watch 1 youtube video then it will stay at 3.30-4GHZ with some 90+ temps. I've tried to google the problem but nothing helps, I've replaced my thermal compound 2 or 3 times now.. I'm pretty sure It's not a thermal compound problem?

Rig:

Case: Corsair 750D

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-B75M-D3H

CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-D15

CPU: i7 3770

GPU: 1050 ti

If you're still hitting 90C, pretty much regardless of what cooler you're using, then you messed up on mounting the cooler. And since you have a big ol' NH-D15 on there, you really fucked up mounting it.

The cooler is probably not evenly mounted. Try reseating it and make sure that you evenly tighten the screws a bit at a time instead of one before the other.

Sounds like bad thermal compound to me. Might have to delid and direct-die cool it or replace the stock TIM.

If it's a NH-D15, it's really rare that it is reaching those temps. Check the thermal paste or the cooler's mounting

Ok, I guess I'll try to re-mount it but as you can see only some of them are hitting 100? Temp2 is at -55? the fuck? then Temp3 is at 89 then core0 and core1 are at 100+

SpeedFan will often reading faulty, nonexistent, or otherwise unused sensors. Ignore those readings.

Could be a broken sensor, but that's not CPU temperature in the first place. Use something that shows CPU temps only, like RealTemp.
