Black screen when opening/ closing full screen applications

When I open/ close some games sometimes I get stuck at a black screen and can’t do anything, it happens the most when I close fortnight. It won’t let me alt+tab or ctrl+alt+del, it’s just stuck at that dark grey screen. I just but a gtx 660 in an old pre-built, that had integrated graphics, is there something from that that could be giving me issues I’m pretty lost.

1: did you use DDU when you installed this gtx 660?

2: how many monitors have you connnected to this pc?

3: do you get a signal when you hook up your monitor to your iGPU? (during a grey screen)

4: are you sure it's not just a game crash.
