Desk mods for cable management....

Watashi

Although I would consider that the overall current look of my desk is quite clean, I've seen some photos online of people who drill their own cable hole for their mouse (I've already done this for my keyboard). My girlfriend brought up a pretty good point though: Will my mouse cord constantly be getting snagged while I manipulate it during gameplay?

You would need to put something on the edge to prevent the cable from getting damaged.

If it's a wood desk you can get something such as this to have a clean passthrough and prevent snagging or damage to the cable.

Probably too much friction, you want something that will let the cable slide easily over and over as you move the mouse.

I have my mouse going through a grommet and then zip-tied using the mount.

I use this and it works great-https://www.amazon.com/Generic-Mouse-Bungee-Management-Holder/dp/B01ASXL0PW.  I use it with a hole I drilled in my desk.  The holder sits basically on top of the hole so you can't see it.

I was thinking about getting one of those and mounting it to the bottom of my desk.

1.5 inch is conveniently the size of the hole that I drilled too :D I feel like those would give my desk a more "finished" look. Even though I have to purposely peer over my keyboard if I want to see the hole. Also it would be nice knowing those would prevent cable damage.
