What is the Cheapest Possible Graphics Card that will run 144hz (Windows Screen)

Any GPU should be able to push 144hz.  If you want something new, get a GT 1030, it will run 144 hz windows fine.  Just realize you'll need to use DP, not DVI.

Hello, Opencircuit74 here, and I would like to know the cheapest possible graphics card that I can use that will run the windows home screen and web browsing, not gaming. The reason that I would like to know the cheapest graphics card possible because I have an RX 580 coming in, but I only want to use it for when I game. The other graphics card will be for when I don't, so I can leave my RX 580 to mine. The reason I need a graphics card capable of 144hz is because my monitor (ASUS VG248QE) supports that refresh rate. Thanks!

I have a ryzen 5 1400 OC'd to 1500x speeds. I really just need it to output 144hz, on a very low budget (I spent all of it on the RX 580)

It's a complete waste of time to mine on a single RX 580

Well, $1.23 a day is not that bad, especially if I'm not going to kill the card if I choose to mine. If you have the card, you might as well use it while you can.

Where's that calculation from? It's also putting 100% load on part of your PSU

But in any event you don't need a secondary GPU to mine when you're not gaming, your GPU will still output to your display just fine

All right, thanks! I really just needed to be able to use my computer while it was mining. The calculation comes from a particular currency I was looking at, but I don't want to give it away, you know, so It doesn't blow up.

Just an update, in case anyone else has the same problem. I ended up going with the Radeon HD 7570 (1GB GDDR5) to use, since it was $20, has the same preformance of a GT 730, and supports DisplayPort 1.2.
