*ADVICE* High Fidelity Gaming Headsets

Hi guys, Im currently in the market for a new gaming headset but i also listen to music and watch movies. I'm currently looking at the beyerdynamic MMX 300, V-moda crossfade, and the audio technica ath adg1. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I will not touch any of those you mentioned. It's expensive cos of the "gaming" tag they posses, its a normal headphone with included boom mic and they jack up the prices like crazy but they do come in as a all in one solution.

However, you can get a better value for money with a headphone and separate mic combo.

I will go for something like this:

Cheap: SHP9500 (o) + vmoda boompro or AD700X (o) + modmic

Medium: DT770 (c) / DT990 (o) / K7XX (o) / HD6XX (o) + modmic or Philips X2 (o) + vmoda boompro

More Expensive: TH-X00 (c) + modmic

 

Personally i feel X2 + boompro or HD6XX + modmic (better analytical sound signature) is a great combo for fun gaming and enjoying movies in general.

But HD6XX posses 2 cables + 1 more from the modmic which can be a hassle, whereas the X2 + boompro results in 1 cable for easier all in one solution for gaming.
